Sertoma Youth Ranch brings Outdoors to Boys and Girls
For those of you that are not familiar with Sertoma Youth Ranch, a 501c3, it is a beautiful and rustic 80-acre campground located in the rolling hills of Hernando and Pasco Counties to create an outdoor recreational area for the children of Florida to enjoy.
Originally called Sertoba Youth Ranch, a ranch for boys, it was later changed to Sertoma Youth Ranch to include all children, free of charge. Organized in 1974, over 1,650 youth groups have utilized the ranch for camping.
The Sertoma Youth Ranch Board’s mission statement is ‘… to provide a rustic outdoor recreational area for the children of Florida. We believe that our children should inherit this small haven of Florida in its natural state.’
Sertoma Organizations and other youth clubs are encouraged to utilize the Sertoma Youth Ranch with programs to encourage their national heritage and culture.
We strive to keep the land clean and safe so that future generations may enjoy this outdoor recreational area. Sertoma Youth Ranch will always be available to all organized groups of children, including the physically and mentally challenged, at no charge’.
To support the ranch, many Sertoma Clubs have donated funds over the years as well as private donations. The main source of revenue is camping fees and music events.

Sertoma Youth Ranch brings the Outdoors to Children
Due to the coronavirus, the Ranch is experiencing a huge loss of income they would have normally received from postponed events. The campground has remained open during this time but camping fees alone are not enough to maintain their monthly expenses.
Sertoma Youth Ranch needs your financial help and there are several ways to do that:
1) Camp at the ranch! The ranch offers over 200 water and electric sites with plenty of space to primitive camp. The ranch has very nice and well maintained restrooms and showers. Camping fees can be found at: https://floridasandmusicranch.com/camping-rates/
2) Make a donation! Please send your tax deductible check to: Sertoma Youth Ranch, 85 Myers Road, Brooksville, FL 34602. Be sure to mark on your check what it is for.
3) Support our events! Music festivals will be back with their own social distancing measures in place.
