By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on February 28, 2023

The Dade City Garden Club is proud to present a National Garden Club (NGC) Small Standard Flower Show on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 10 am to 3 pm at the garden club center, 13630 5th Street in Dade City. Free and open to the public, “Dade City—Still Growing” is the theme that will be interpreted through judged horticulture, floral design, and educational displays created by members of the Club.

The purpose of an NGC Flower Show is to educate club members and the viewing public; to stimulate interest in horticulture and floral design; to provide an outlet for creative expression; and to communicate NGC goals and objectives.

The Design Division of the show will present floral designs interpreting the “Gems of Dade City”, which focuses on the places and things to see and do in town. The Horticulture Division will feature places in Dade City to experience plants, flowers, and gardening. An Educational Division will depict Dade City’s special designations.

The Dade City Garden Club has a long and respected history of hosting flower shows. The founding members presented their first show in March of 1949, less than one year after the Dade City Garden Club was accepted for federation with the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs. Following that first event was a succession of many more shows over the years, several of which won outstanding honors within the garden club community.

The Dade City Garden Club is especially grateful to this year’s Blue Ribbon Sponsors:   San Antonio Citizens Federal Credit Union and Karen Stridiron, Charles Rutenberg Realty.
