Stills, the latest film by Root & Branch Films and Odd!Life Studios is now streaming!  This award-winning, half-hour mystery-crime thriller filmed in Brooksville, Florida, held its Brooksville Premiere at Beacon Cinemas in Brooksville on January 22, 2023, in front of a crowd of 200+ people.

Members of the cast and crew, local supporters, friends, family, press, and community leaders were in attendance for what was a historic night for the two film companies.

“When we set out to make this film, we knew we wanted to feature our hometown, and our dream was to be able to premiere it at our hometown movie theatre.  Getting to that point and hearing people’s perspectives on the film was such a surreal experience,” explained Kyle Marra, the film’s director.

Attendees were given the opportunity to share their thoughts on the film in a post-screening survey.  Below are some of their reactions:

“Genuinely introspective,” is what Isaiah Haddon called the film. “I love A24 films and between the cinematography and soundtrack, this would easily fit along with my favorite movies to see on a big screen.”

“Thought-provoking and suspenseful.” Dawn Mosher echoed.  “I enjoyed the suspense and wish the film was longer. I would love to see the story continue. Of course, the viewer can assume what happens next, but I still have questions.”

William Singer said, “This film definitely hooks you from the start and does not let you go till the end. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.”

“I was absolutely shocked, and I am now haunted by the film (in the best way).” Angela Sarabia shared.

During the production of the film, the crew was constantly being asked how the film could be seen.  People even reached out on premiere day asking how they could get a seat.  Now, the wait is finally over!
