Sunrise Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Center in Pasco County, CEO Kelly Sinn, has announced the opening of an office in New Port Richey. Sunrise has been offering limited services in West Pasco for survivors of domestic and sexual assault for nearly 15 years. Sunrise has been able to secure permanent space for advocates and IFP attorneys to meet with participants to offer counseling, support groups, aid with injunctions for protection, accompaniment, and crisis intervention.

On June 27th, Sunrise will host an Open House from 4 pm to 6 pm at 5330 George Street in New Port Richey for community members. The West Pasco Chamber of Commerce will be present for the Ribbon Cutting at 4:30 pm. Community members are encouraged and invited to come by and meet staff, learn about expanded programming that will be offered in the area, network and hear more about the services we will be offering.

If you or your organization would like to get involved, please contact Sunrise at 352-521-3358 or events@sunrisepasco.org.

Sunrise of Pasco is an equal opportunity, non-profit services provider that offers victim services free of charge. Since 1982, Sunrise of Pasco has been providing free victim services to people in the community who are hurting. Sunrise maintains a 40-bed emergency shelter to provide protection for women and children in crisis; provides free counseling services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and foster a culture of non-violence through various community engagement efforts. The agency serves thousands of women, men and children annually, when – in a better world – this kind of work would not even be necessary.
