Thanksgiving Day is Not a Day to be Alone

By Florida's Original NatureCoaster™ Posted on November 21, 2016

The Benedictine Sisters of Florida are hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner to share with others for the 21st year! If you are alone this Thanksgiving or just can’t prepare a big meal, be with us!

Each year we celebrate with a home-made dinner including all the trimmings!

The event is on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th and is free.

The traditional fare served is turkey, stuffing, salad, mashed potatoes (100 pounds are peeled) and a variety of desserts.  Sister Donna prepares the meal and the Saint Anthony Women’s Club provides the desserts…yummy!

Co-hosted the past 14 years with Saint Anthony of Padua parish, the event takes place at their Parish Hall, (behind the church at 32848 Massachusetts Ave, San Antonio, FL.).

We serve from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm and the doors open at 1:30 pm.   It is a fun afternoon of fellowship and the giving of thanks.

We would love to have you join us!

Make your reservation today as space is limited: call the monastery at (352) 588-8443 or (352) 588-8320.

For those who are home-bound, please give us a call to schedule delivery. A special thanks to friends who volunteer and donate to help make this event possible including the lovely tableware contributed each year by Geri Hall of Classic Party Settings; Golden Corral in Zephyrhills for their delicious rolls; Saint Anthony students for their creative decorations; and some very special donors.

Everything comes together for a day of blessings. If you would like to attend, volunteer and/or donate, call one of the above phone numbers; email at hnmdevelopment@saintleo.edu; or mail us at PO Box 2450, St. Leo, FL 33574-2450.

Please note:  Reservations MUST be made by Friday, November 18th.
