Food is Health Volunteer Way 2023

Through the partnership of UF/Pasco County Extension and AdventHealth, learn how healthy lifestyle habits let you reach and maintain your weight loss goals and get FREE fruits and vegetables after attending each class. 6-week series begins Wednesday, July 19th and ends Wednesday August 23rd and runs from1pm – 2pm each week. Produce distribution is on-site immediately following the class.

In these weekly classes, learn about nutrients, the importance of food journals, meal planning, healthy portion sizes, food labels, physical activity, and more. Each participant/household will be eligible for a $10 bag of fruits and vegetables for attending each session ($60 in fresh food for attending all 6 sessions!). Pre-registration on Eventbrite is required. You will receive further communication and a welcome email just prior to July 19.

BayCare Kids Car Seat Program

This 2-hour class will provide you with a free ($100 value) car seat or booster and a classroom-based presentation on how to choose and install the correct car seat for your child. In-vehicle installation assistance will also be provided by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician from BayCare Kids Wellness and Safety Center.
