UF/IFAS Extension offices provide non-biased, research-based information to America’s citizens.  Pasco County Extension is an off-campus branch of the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS), serving as a bridge between the research labs of the university and the local community by providing educational materials and programs for adults and youth. Pasco County Government provides support for local faculty, staff and facilities.

Each month, UF/IFAS Pasco Extension office offers classes and events for local citizens, with a homemaking, home care, and agricultural emphasis. Some are free and some require a small fee. All are excellent ways to learn about the subject matter. Participants do not have to be from Pasco County.

Water Bath Canning

This workshop will provide information on water bath canning. We are offering a workshop that will teach you how to do water bath canning. This class will be on canning preserves from fruit that is in season. You will learn about food safety and canning as well as the difference between the two different types of canning processes.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair.
