The Hernando County Public Library System announces the following temporary branch closures due to scheduled maintenance and repairs.

Upcoming Hernando County Public Library closures

  • The West Hernando Branch Library, located at 6335 Blackbird Avenue in Brooksville, will be closed to the public on May 13 and May 20, 2019, for repairs to be made to the public parking lot. Repair work will also transpire during the weekend occurring Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19, 2019, when the branch is regularly closed. Normal hours of operation are currently anticipated to resume on May 14 and May 21, 2019. The book-drop will be inaccessible during this time. This improvement to the public parking area has been made possible from funding provided through a generous bequest.
  • The Spring Hill Branch Library, located at 9220 Spring Hill Drive, will be closed beginning on May 23 through June 4, 2019, for the new carpeting to be installed. Normal hours of operation are anticipated to resume on June 5, 2019. This project has been made possible through grant funding provided under the provisions of the State Aid to Libraries Grant program, which is administered by the Florida Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services. The book drop will also be inaccessible during this time. Due to this, overdue charges may be waived for any materials with due dates during this timeframe and materials may be renewed.

Patrons can receive regular library services during these timeframes at all other available library locations. Visit www.HernandoCountyLibrary.us or call (352) 754-4043 for locations, hours and other information.
