Volunteers Needed for Keep Pasco Beautiful Cleanup

~~Countywide event prevents debris from entering waterways~~

Keep Pasco Beautiful is partnering with Pasco County on its annual Keep Pasco Beautiful Cleanup – and we’re looking for your help!  Volunteer cleanup crews are needed to pick up litter along roadways and public places all around Pasco County.

It’s estimated around 80 percent of trash in our waterways originates from land.  Our annual event helps prevent pollution from entering our stormwater system, which often leads to the Gulf of Mexico.

Keep Pasco Beautiful Cleanup Details:

     WHEN:       Saturday, September 16, 2023
TIME:         8 a.m. to noon (flexible)
     WHERE:    Various Pasco County Locations

You can register to volunteer HERE through September 8, 2023.  Disposable gloves, trash bags and Keep Pasco Beautiful Cleanup T-shirts will be provided while supplies last.

This event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup coordinated by Ocean Conservancy.  Since 1986, the worldwide event has collected more than 348 million pounds of trash with help from about 17 million volunteers worldwide.

The Keep Pasco Beautiful Cleanup is a partnership between Keep Pasco Beautiful, Pasco County, Rotary Club of New Port Richey, Covanta, Surfing’s Evolution & Preservation Foundation and Tampa Bay Water.  For more information about Keep Pasco Beautiful, visit: keeppascobeautiful.org.
