Dr. Borrelli is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon and academician, and he will be seeing patients at 14555 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34613. Please call 352-556-4823 to schedule an appointment.

Dr. Borrelli has been actively treating patients Tampa Bay area over the past 5 years since returning to the area from Texas. In addition, he also serves as Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine, Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida, as well as Research Professor in the Department of Bioengineering, University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington, Texas.

Dr. Borrelli received his MD from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Borrelli completed orthopedic surgery residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Cornell University, Weill College of Medicine and at the University of South Florida. Dr. Borrelli completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma at USF/Tampa General Hospital as well as a highly distinguished ASG (Austria, Switzerland, Germany) traveling fellowship.

In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Borrelli also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Maine (degree conferred with distinction).

Dr. Borrelli has been Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons since 1997 and is a Certified Physician Executive, (AAPL). He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a longtime member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association. As a reflection of his past work in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Borrelli was recently nominated as Fellow of the International Orthopaedic Trauma Association (FIOTA).

In his prominent career as both a surgeon and an academician, Dr. Borrelli has served on countless professional and hospital committees, he has served in editorial positions for the Journal of Orthopedic Trauma and the Orthopedic Trauma Association International (currently), as well as the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, to name a few. He has given numerous presentations at national and international scientific meetings and has been invited faculty at over 125 educational courses worldwide. He has published approximately 85 peer-reviewed articles, has edited or co-edited 5 orthopedic textbooks, and has written more than 15 book chapters.
