The Veterans Services lobby and waiting area in the Citrus County Community Resource Center (CCCRC) in Lecanto, is now a work of art. Crystal River High School art students, Sarah Paar and Ben Wassink designed and created the tribute to our veterans wall mural during their after school hours and holiday breaks.

Kimberly Menster, Veterans Services Officer acknowledged Tobey Phillips, Community Services Director, who had the idea of a new waiting area and mural, along with Citrus County Engineering Department, Facilities Maintenance, and Building Inspectors.

“The results are what you see here today, and we cannot be more grateful.” said Kimberly.

Permanently attached to the mural wall is a plaque which reads: “Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff and students of the Crystal River High School Art Department for the generous gift of their time and caring.”
